In mid-2024, we were both heavy ChatGPT users - using it daily for coding, research, writing, and brainstorming. After a few months, we each had hundreds of conversations with no way to organize them. ChatGPT's native interface had no folders, no real search, and no way to export or bulk-manage conversations.
We kept losing track of important chats. Searching for a specific conversation meant scrolling through an endless list. There was no way to group conversations by project. No way to back them up. No way to clean up old chats without deleting them one by one.
We realized this wasn't just our problem - every ChatGPT power user was dealing with the same frustration. So we built ChatGPT Toolbox: the organizational layer that ChatGPT should have had from day one.
