How it started
From two lost chat histories to four modules
AI Toolbox began as a fix for a problem we had ourselves, and every step since has followed the same rule: build the thing the platform should have shipped, inside the platform.

Your conversations stay in your browser
The search index, Smart Tags and saved prompts are stored locally and every search runs on your device; conversation content is never sent to our servers. Folders and bookmarks are backed up to your account so they follow you across devices, as titles and short previews rather than whole chats. PDF export is the one exception: the file is rendered on our server and returned without a copy being kept.
Built for people who use AI every day
Every feature exists because we needed it ourselves: full-text search across every message, folders with subfolders, bulk export in four formats, a prompt library with chains, @@ Context Mentions and a Context Meter. The free plan has no time limit and no account.
Not English only
The interface ships in 10+ languages with full right-to-left support for Arabic and Hebrew, and the extension is used in 150+ countries. Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Arc are supported; there is no Firefox version.

Who is behind AI Toolbox?
AI Toolbox was co-founded by Adi Leviim and Mohammad El-Esawi, two full-stack developers with a combined 12+ years of experience building SaaS products. Adi leads product and frontend architecture; Mohammad leads backend architecture and the AI and LLM systems. Together they build the unified Chrome extension covering ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok. AI Toolbox was formerly known as ChatGPT Toolbox.
Why was ChatGPT Toolbox renamed to AI Toolbox?
AI Toolbox is the same product as ChatGPT Toolbox, expanded to cover Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude and xAI Grok. The new name reflects the unified scope: one extension, four modules you switch on from the popup, one Premium plan per module or All Access for all four. Existing ChatGPT Toolbox users kept all their data, features and pricing, and reviews from that era describe the same product.

Is it one extension or four?
One install. The Chrome Web Store listing contains all four modules, and each is a toggle in the extension popup: switch on ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Grok and approve the one-time permission for that site. Premium is sold per module, or once for all four with the All Access lifetime plan. It is not an AI subscription; you keep using your own accounts on each platform.
Is AI Toolbox safe to use?
Yes. Conversation content is indexed and searched inside your browser and is never sent to our servers; the only account detail that reaches them is the email or X handle used to verify a Premium plan, plus the titles and short previews of the folders and bookmarks that sync across your devices. The extension never sees your ChatGPT, Google, Anthropic or X password. AI Toolbox is GDPR compliant, and each module has its own privacy policy linked from its page.
