The gap

What ChatGPT gives a consultant, and what it loses between engagements

ChatGPT has Projects, a title-only search and one all-account export. None of them separate Client A from Client B, find the sizing you ran in March, or reuse the diagnostic prompt that worked.

Engagement work is repetitive in structure and unique in content: the same five-forces or operating-model prompt, a different client each time. In ChatGPT the good prompt is buried in an old chat, the benchmark is a reply you cannot search for, and the client boundary is whatever you remember. Projects hold chats one level deep and cannot search inside them.

Any conversation exports as Markdown, PDF, JSON or TXT from a dialog on the chat itself.
