The Writer Problem with Claude
Writing with Claude is iterative. You draft, get variations, pick favourites, rewrite, iterate again. Two hours later you have a conversation with twelve versions of the same scene - and the best one is somewhere in the middle, buried. Claude has no way to mark a specific draft, no per-conversation export button, and search is a paid-only conversational feature that is not built to find exact phrases.
Claude's only native export is the account-level data dump via Settings > Privacy > Export data, which arrives by email as a 24-hour download link. Useful for backups, useless for getting draft three of scene seven into Google Docs.
