The gap
grok.com has a search box in its sidebar that matches conversation titles, and Grok inside X has no history sidebar at all. Neither looks inside messages, shows the matching passage, or offers a single filter.
That works for a chat you named well on grok.com. It fails for the way most people use Grok: an error it fixed in March, the analysis that cited the right source, a phrasing you liked in a draft. Those live inside replies, and the only native way to find them is to open chats one by one and use the browser's Ctrl+F, or to scroll x.com/i/grok by hand.
AI Toolbox adds a full-text Search History modal to both Grok surfaces. The index is built in your browser from your own history, so nothing is uploaded and results come back in a few hundredths of a second.

Grok lives in two places, and X has no sidebar for it at all. AI Toolbox indexes conversations from both surfaces into one local database, and its folders give the x.com side the organisation X never built. Search, file or export a chat regardless of where you had it.
