The gap
A Grok conversation that solves something real runs long, whether it started on grok.com or inside X. Somewhere in it is the reply you will need again: the fix, the analysis, the paragraph. Grok keeps the conversation; it has no way to keep the moment.
The native options all operate at the wrong level. Bookmarking on X marks a whole conversation and lives in your X bookmarks, not in Grok. Copying an answer into a notes app saves the words but detaches them from the conversation and the link back. On Grok it sits right after the Dislike button in each reply's action row, on grok.com and inside X alike. A bookmark takes you back to a moment you knew was important when it happened. For everything you did not think to save, the same extension ships full-text Search History across every synced Grok conversation on both surfaces, with the matching sentence highlighted. The two together are how a long Grok history stays usable.
Two levels
Bookmarks work at message level; folders work at conversation level. Keep the chats for one project together with nested folders, and inside them mark the individual replies worth returning to. Folders are added by search from the folder manager, nothing to drag, and the free plan includes two root folders with unlimited subfolders.
