If you open the Inspect tool and navigate to Application → Storage → IndexedDB, you will find all the conversation data stored locally. Your chats are never stored on our servers. Three features you trigger yourself, PDF export, Context Mentions on a long chat, and Carry this chat forward, send the text of the chat you pick to our servers for processing, and nothing is kept afterwards.

You can also monitor network requests to see exactly what is sent and when, giving you full control and transparency.

What is saved on our servers is the organization you build: folders with their chat IDs, saved prompts, bookmarks, labels, smart tag rules, pins, usage statistics, and settings. Chat IDs are not linked to any sensitive content and cannot be used without your unique authentication token. You can verify this by monitoring network requests.

3. Why Prompts Are Encrypted

Prompts are saved to enable seamless synchronization across devices. For instance, if you're using AI Toolbox on both your laptop and desktop, encrypted prompts ensure that you can access the same saved content securely. They are encrypted at rest with keys AI Toolbox holds (this is not end-to-end encryption), which protects them if the database is ever accessed without authorization. If you prefer, you can switch saved prompts to device-only storage in Settings.
