How to set up Claude for Chrome
Setup takes three steps and a supported plan. Anthropic ships the extension as "Claude in Chrome," and the browsing side panel is gated by subscription tier.
Install the extension: add Claude in Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
Sign in: open the extension and sign in to your Claude account. The side panel is available on Max and Team plans today, and is rolling out to Pro over the following weeks (Anthropic, 2026).

Claude for Chrome is built to act in your browser, not to manage your past conversations.
