Who uses AI Toolbox?
Researchers, students, marketers, developers, educators, clinicians, lawyers, data scientists, writers and business teams. The extension has 40,000+ users on the Chrome Web Store with a 4.7/5 rating, and runs on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Arc. Firefox is not supported.
Can teams use AI Toolbox, or is it only for individuals?
Both. Individuals use the free plan or a personal Premium or Lifetime licence, and there is a separate Teams plan at $15 per seat per month, or $12 per seat billed annually, with a 14-day free trial. Teams adds an admin dashboard, seat management, central billing and team analytics, and covers the ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok modules.
How does AI Toolbox actually save time?
It removes the searching and re-typing. Folders and subfolders keep projects apart instead of one endless chat list, full-text search finds the message you half remember, bulk actions handle many conversations at once, and the prompt library stores prompts you insert by typing two slashes rather than rewriting them. Export gets finished work out into your own files.
Is it useful if I only use ChatGPT casually?
Yes, and the free plan is usually enough at that point: 5 search results per query, 2 root folders with unlimited subfolders, 2 saved prompts and single-conversation TXT export. The paid plans matter once you have enough history that finding things becomes the slow part.
Does AI Toolbox replace my ChatGPT subscription?
No. It is a browser extension that sits on top of chatgpt.com and organises what is already there. It is not an AI subscription and gives no model access of its own: you keep using your own ChatGPT account and whatever plan you have with OpenAI.
What happens to my conversations and data?
Conversation content stays in your browser and is never stored on our servers. Only what you build inside the extension, such as folders, prompts and tags, syncs, and that syncs encrypted at rest. AI Toolbox is GDPR compliant and passed Chrome Web Store security review.
Do these guides work on Gemini, Claude and Grok too?
The workflow thinking transfers, but the feature details differ by module, so each platform has its own hub. Folders, search and export exist on all four; some capabilities, such as the Writing Analytics panel, are ChatGPT only. Every guide states which platform it covers.
