ChatGPTHow to label ChatGPT answers
AI Toolbox lets you put a short colored label, such as Idea or To do, on one ChatGPT answer. Click the Label this answer icon (a small note) under the answer, type a word, pick a color and click Add. Open Answer labels at the top of the chat to find them. To group whole chats, use Smart Tags. The free plan includes 5 labels.
Step by step
Step 1: Find the Label this answer icon under an answer
Under each ChatGPT answer there is a row of small icons. AI Toolbox adds a note icon there (a small page with a folded corner), next to its bookmark icon and before ChatGPT's three dots.
For older answers, move your mouse over the answer to show the row.
You should see: A note icon. When you point at it, it says Label this answer.
Step 2: Click it and type a label
Click the note icon. A small box opens. Type a short word in the Type a label... box, up to 30 characters. Labels you used before show as suggestions you can click.
You should see: Your word in the box and a row of colored dots under it.
Step 3: Pick a color and click Add
Click one of the colored dots, then click Add. You can also press Enter.
You should see: The message Label added! and a colored label just above the answer.
Step 4: Remove a label (optional)
Move your mouse over the label above the answer. A small x appears on it. Click the x.
You should see: The label disappears and you see Label removed!
Step 5: Open Answer labels
At the top of the chat, to the left of ChatGPT's Share button, there is a note icon with a small number. The number is how many labels you have. Click it. You can also open it from the round AI Toolbox button: type labels and click Answer labels.
You should see: A window called Answer labels with your labels grouped by chat.
Step 6: Filter and jump to a labeled answer
Under the search box, click a colored dot to see only labels of that color, or All to see every label. Type in the Search labels... box to find a word.
Click a label to open its chat and jump to that answer.
You should see: The page scrolls to the answer and it flashes so you can spot it.

If something doesn't look right
It says Maximum 3 labels per message
One answer can hold up to 3 labels on every plan. Remove one of its labels first, or put the new label on another answer.

I don't see the Label this answer icon
Labels go on ChatGPT's answers, not on your own messages. Move your mouse over the answer to show its row of icons. If the icon is still missing, refresh the page.
What is the difference between a label and a bookmark?
A bookmark saves one answer so you can jump back to it. A label is a word you choose, like Idea, so you can group many answers by topic and filter them in Answer labels. You can use both on the same answer.

Are labels the same as Smart Tags?
No. AI Toolbox labels go on single ChatGPT answers and you write them yourself. Smart Tags go on whole chats: they sort chats by topic on their own, like Coding or Writing, and you can add or remove any chat yourself. Use labels to mark answers and Smart Tags to group your chats.
