How to find, favorite and export your Claude artifacts

AI Toolbox My Artifacts gathers the code, documents, web pages, diagrams and files Claude made in your chats into one window. Open it from the round button, then search, pick a chat or project from the menus, or use the type buttons. Star favorites, and Open, Copy or Download any artifact. The free plan shows 5 artifacts. Export selected is Premium.

Step by step

  1. Step 1: Open My Artifacts

Open claude.ai on a new chat or an open chat. In the bottom-right corner of the page there is a round AI Toolbox button. Click it. A list of features opens. Click My Artifacts.

You should see: A window called My Artifacts with a card for each artifact and a count at the top.

  2. Step 2: Search your artifacts

Type a word in the Search your artifacts... box, for example q3. It looks in each artifact's name, the name of its chat and the text inside it.

You should see: Only artifacts that match.

  3. Step 3: Filter the list

Click the All chats menu under the search box and pick a chat to see only its artifacts. If some of your chats are in Claude Projects, an All projects menu shows too.

The buttons next to the search box, such as Web, Code or MD, filter by type. Click All to clear the type filter.

You should see: The count at the top changes to match.

  4. Step 4: Star your favorites

Click the star on a card to add it to your favorites. Click the Favorites button in the type row to see only starred artifacts.

You should see: A filled star on the card.

  5. Step 5: Open, copy or download

Open takes you to the chat where Claude made the artifact and scrolls to it. Copy copies its content. Files Claude created, such as .md files, have no Copy button. Download saves it as a file with the right file type.

You should see: The chat opens, the button shows Copied!, or a file lands in your Downloads folder.

  6. Step 6: Export many at once (Premium)

Tick the box on each card you want, or click Select all shown. Then click Export selected. On the free plan this opens an upgrade window, so download artifacts one at a time instead.

You should see: A ZIP file sorted into folders by project and chat, and a message that starts with Export complete.

That's it. You have finished every tutorial in this section.

If something doesn't look right

My Artifacts is empty

It fills in as AI Toolbox syncs your chats, which can take a few minutes the first time. If Claude has not made any artifacts yet, you see No artifacts yet. Ask Claude for code or a document, then open the window again.

Some cards are blurred

The free plan shows the first 5 artifacts in the list. The blurred cards are part of Premium.

Some files were not in my ZIP export

Files Claude created in old chats can expire on Claude's side. AI Toolbox lists them in a file called _not-included.txt inside the ZIP. Open the chat in Claude to get them again.

Where do I find My Artifacts on the Artifacts page?

The round AI Toolbox button also shows on Claude's Artifacts page. Click it and choose My Artifacts.

Free and Premium

The free plan shows the first 5 artifacts in the list, with Open, Copy, Download and favorites. Premium shows every artifact and all versions, and adds Export selected to download many at once as one ZIP file.

  • Free: the first 5 artifacts in the list, with Open, Copy, Download and favorites.
  • Premium: every artifact, all versions, and Export selected as one ZIP file.
  • Artifacts are found by reading your synced chats on your computer. Nothing is uploaded.

What Claude does on its own

Claude saves what it makes to the Artifacts tab in your sidebar, so you can see your artifacts in one place, start a new one from a template and organize what you have made.

My Artifacts in AI Toolbox adds filters by project, chat and type, a favorites list, one-click file downloads, and a ZIP export of many artifacts at once on Premium.
