How to unlock AI Toolbox Premium on Grok with your X handle

AI Toolbox Premium on Grok is matched to your X account, not an email. On ai-toolbox.co, pick a Grok plan or All Access, and type the @handle of the X account you use for Grok at checkout. Then reload grok.com or x.com/i/grok while signed in to that X account. The FREE label above the round button turns into your plan's name.

Step by step

  1. Check which X account you use for Grok

    Premium is matched to one X account. Open x.com and look at the bottom-left corner. Your @handle is under your name.

    If you use grok.com, make sure it is the same X account. If you sign in to grok.com with Google or email, connect your X account first in grok.com settings, under Account.

    You should see: Your X @handle, for example @yourhandle, written down or copied.

  2. Open the pricing page and pick a Grok plan

    Go to ai-toolbox.co/pricing. At the top of the plans, click the Grok tab. Pick a Grok plan, or All Access if you also want Premium on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.

    You can also get here from inside Grok: any upgrade window has an Upgrade to Premium button that opens this page.

    You should see: The Grok plans, each with a button to buy it.

  3. Type your X @handle at checkout

    On the order page, a box says checkout asks for your X handle. Click Proceed to checkout. The checkout form opens right away. Type your handle in the X handle field. You can type it with or without the @.

    Type it exactly. A different handle is the most common reason Premium does not turn on.

    You should see: Your payment goes through and a page says Premium is switched on for Grok.

  4. Reload Grok while signed in to that X account

    Open grok.com or x.com/i/grok. If a Grok tab was already open, reload it. AI Toolbox checks your plan by itself when the page loads. It can take up to a minute.

    There is nothing to paste or type in the extension. No license key is needed.

    You should see: The small label above the round button changes from FREE to your plan, such as LIFETIME.

  5. Use Premium on both sites

    The same purchase works on grok.com and on Grok inside X, as long as you are signed in to the X account you bought it for.

    If you switch to a different X account, AI Toolbox shows that account's own plan. Premium stays with the account it was bought for, and comes back when you switch back.

    You should see: Your plan's name above the round button on both grok.com and x.com/i/grok.

If something doesn't look right

I paid but the label still says FREE

Reload the Grok page and wait a minute. Make sure you are signed in to the X account whose @handle you typed at checkout. If it still says FREE after ten minutes, the handle probably did not match. Email [email protected] with the handle you use, and the team will fix it by hand.

I typed the wrong X handle at checkout

Email [email protected] with the handle you typed and the correct one. The team moves your Premium to the right X account. You do not need to buy again.

I switched X accounts and Premium is gone

Premium belongs to the X account it was bought for. When you switch accounts, AI Toolbox clears the old account's saved data from this browser and shows the new account's plan. Switch back to the account you bought it for and reload the page.

I sign in to grok.com with Google or email

Grok Premium in AI Toolbox is matched to an X account. Connect your X account in grok.com settings, under Account, then use that X handle at checkout. If you already bought, reload grok.com after you connect it.

My company gave me a Teams seat

You do not need to buy anything. Open any upgrade window in Grok and click On a Teams plan? Activate your seat, or follow the link in your invite email. After you activate the seat, reload Grok.

Free and Premium

Premium removes the free limits on Grok: unlimited search results, folders, saved prompts, chains, bookmarks and context mentions, Smart Tags on every chat, all export formats and bulk actions. One purchase covers grok.com and Grok on X for the same X account.

What Grok does on its own

Grok has its own paid plans from xAI and X, such as SuperGrok and X Premium. xAI's FAQ says a subscription is tied to the account you bought it with, so it may not show up if you are signed in with a different login.
